Mindanao State University-Buug Campus have been celebrated the University Katigya last September 21, 2016. The students were entertained by different games which can help to promote the sportsmanship of every student. The main highlight of this event was the search for the Miss MSU-Buug Campus 2016.

The program starts at 8:00 pm on September 30 at the MSU-BC gymnasium. The students from the different colleges and from the Senior High and Junior High were very prepared and supportive for their candidate. The gymnasium was covered with cheers and tension especially when the candidates first faces the crowd. The candidates looked very stunning in their production number.

The program goes smoothly until the most awaiting part was came, the Question and Answer portion. The style of the Q n’ A is which the candidates were going to choose a number from the scene, in which the question where inside of it. Every candidate was proudly answering the questions where they have chosen. After that, the candidates given a chance to take their every deep breath for the announcing the minors and majors award and for crowning the new Miss MSU-BC.

The 5^th runner up was the Ms. Junior HS, 4^th runner up was the Ms. COED, 3^rd was the Ms. Senior HS, 2^nd runner up was came from the COAF, 1^st runner up was came from the CAS, and the newly crowned Ms. MSU-BC 2016 was came from the College of Forestry and Environmental Studies which represented by their very own Ms. Angelica Sotilleza which was the one who take the major award of Ms. Witty in which taken the percentage from the interview and Q n’ A portion. She proved her saying “Believe and you will achieve”. She is the one who has a brave personality and not fear of judgments of others. She also said “It’s not impossible for those who are short girls to joined any pageant”.
